Heat Pump Inspection

If your heat pump is ready for this winter, you’ll save a lot of money with lower electrical bills, and prevent major repairs and early replacement of your unit.

Depending on the model of heat pump you have, we can inspect the following items:

  • Verify the proper temperature rise between intake and output of your air ducts
  • Check your indoor coil for dirt
  • Inspect/Replace air filter
  • Confirm thermostat modes of operation. Make sure heat strips are not activated too soon.
  • Check condensate drip line, trap and pan for blockages, leaks or mold
  • Inspect indoor and outdoor blower assembly
  • Cycle unit between heating and cooling to check operation of reversing valve
  • Check operation of defrost mode
  • Inspect wiring and cleanliness of control panels
  • Look for visible signs of refrigerant leaks

We perform heat pump inspections regularly, and can give you the confidence you need in your HVAC unit to keep you warm this winter. Call us at (256) 636-6225 to schedule an appointment.
