Many problems we see during our service calls could have been prevented with an annual furnace inspection.
Budgeting a yearly furnace check up can be a lot cheaper than the cost of a major repair.
What are the benefits of having a gas furnace inspection?
- Finding small problems now that could lead to bigger problems later
- Increased efficiency means lower utility bills
- Extend the life of your HVAC unit and save even more money!
Depending on your unit, here are some of the items we’ll check:
- Heat Exchanger – A cracked heat exchanger will allow toxic carbon monoxide into your living area. Some companies will condemn an entire furnace if they find a problem with just the heat exchanger. We won’t. We can save you $Thousands by just replacing the defective part. Contact Us to learn more.
- Belts, Pulleys – Inspect and adjust if needed
- Pilot Light – Clean and adjust
- Flue (exhaust) Pipe – Check for dents, leaks, corrosion
- Lubricate – Motors & Pulleys
- Gas shut off valve – Check for on/off operation and leaks
- Burners – Check flame color. Clean and/or adjust air/fuel mixture
- Electrical – Check voltage and current draw of motors. Check condition of motor capacitors
- Room Thermostat – Check accuracy and operation
- Blower Fan Thermostat – Check for proper on/off operation in furnace
- Air Filter – Replace if needed. Contact Us if you would like to be reminded when to replace your filter.
- Safety Devices and Circuits – Test for proper operation
We perform furnace inspections on a regular basis, and can give you the confidence you need in your furnace to keep you warm this winter. Call us at (256) 636-6225 to schedule an appointment.
